Primary 1 Expandable Banner Campaign

These are a few stills from a video shoot for band Primary 1. I used my skills from my stop motion background to set up the huge 10 meter green screen, lighting, camera set up and filming with the aid of a couple of friends from photographic and film production backgrounds. We basically took the set up I'd usually use on set for lighting the green screen but amplified the amount of light. We were using 3 4foot Kino Bank lights, 3 Blondes and a whole lot of bounce. This was an amazing day of shooting.

Jackass 3D

Whilst at Powster I had the pleasure of being a part of the facebook promotional campaign for Jackass 3D, I worked on roto and keying the green screen for the layers of footage. This app has quickly become a wide spread hit and has been mentioned in NewMediaAge. Check out the link below and enjoy!

Powster Times: Lykke Li

I haven’t updated my blog for a while it seems as I have been Very busy Freelancing for a digital promotional company called Powster. This is one project I had a whole load of fun producing which is a promotional music video for Artist Lykke Li.

I created the effets buy shooting ink in water at 50fps using a Cannon 7D, then manipulated and layered the shots in Adobe After Effects creating this organic, flowing sequence.

Zombie Sketches

I've recently been sketching people I know and turning them into zombies. Im in the process of developing an idea for a short film in which a zombie or several zombies will feature.

This is the second sequence in the surf detergent campaign, which we animated the actress via pixilation. I am currently in the process of editing the two elements together to achieve the final scene.

Recently I was approached to take part in a commercial for Surf detergent.
The following is one of two stop motion animated sequences animated in one day. The Brief for the commercial was that the scent of new 'Surf' Tropical detergent sends you to paradise.

Squirrel Armature

This is the Custom armature I made for my graduation film 'Fall,' I designed it to have a fully articulated tail, I did think of using wire but felt that the movement and wear it would sustain using ball joints instead would be more practical. It also has a rigging block to use with a professional rigging system. This armature saw us through the entire production with a bit of TLC and a screw driver now and again.
